Ready to open your own Scooter's Jungle? What's Next?
Becoming a Scooter's Jungle franchisee can be the best business decision you've ever made. From start to finish, you'll be supported every step of the way. While each situation varies, here is a projected timeline and action steps that will get you on your way to owning and operating your first Scooter's Jungle.
Day 1: Review our website including the FAQ's, submit the short inquiry to receive our
franchise kit and complete the
qualifying form. Our Director of Franchise Development will contact you ASAP to discuss your area of interest. Together, you'll review the basics of franchising and get answers to your questions. After initial discussions, you will receive our franchisee application.
Week 1: Upon submittal of your qualified application, we'll email the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) which details your and our responsibilities and presents the franchise agreement. FDD's are required by law for any company that offers franchises. We suggest that you review it thoroughly and ask questions.
Week 2: After reviewing the FDD, you will submit the requested financial and background information. Our Director of Franchise Development will review your entire application and discuss it with you.
Weeks 3 - 4: Upon approval of your initial application package, you will be invited to attend Discovery Day at Scooter's Jungle headquarters in Orange County, California. At Discovery Day, you will meet representatives from each department who will be supporting you as a franchise owner - operations, marketing, purchasing, real estate, etc. You will also visit a few Scooter's Jungle entertainment centers and learn more about how they operate.
Discovery Day provides both you and the Scooter's Jungle executive team the opportunity to learn more about each other, and decide if there is a mutual fit and the possibility of being awarded a franchise. Your time and investment in this step of the process is critical to making a sound decision.
Prior to attending Discovery Day, we will assign you a local market research exercise that will prepare you for becoming a Scooter's Jungle owner.
Week 6: After attending Discovery Day, our Director of Franchise Development will work with you to finalize your trade area for a single-unit agreement or the territory for a multi-unit agreement.
Weeks 7 - 8: You will receive a franchise agreement for your review and signature. After reading the agreement thoroughly, you will return the signed franchise agreement along with your initial franchise fee. Upon receipt, Scooter's Jungle will award a franchise and welcome you into our community.
Weeks 9 - 13: If you do not already have a commercial real estate broker, you will be introduced to one who can assist you in finding and securing potential locations for your Scooter's Jungle.
Weeks 14 - 18: Once a site has been approved by the Scooter's Jungle executive team, you will hire an architect to create construction drawings that will meet your city or municipality building codes and hire a general contractor to build your new Scooter's Jungle. Permitting times vary but it's reasonable to count on a 60 to 90-day window.
Weeks 26 - 31: Permits are granted from applicable government agencies and construction begins. You will begin recruiting and hiring staff members.
Weeks 32 - 40: Construction is underway and "Coming Soon" exterior signs are posted, announcing to your community that Scooter's Jungle is opening soon. A Scooter's Jungle marketing representative will assist you with grand opening marketing plans and activities.
Weeks 38 - 40: You, and up to four members of your staff, will attend Jungle University at the Scooter's Jungle flagship center in Aliso Viejo, California.
Week 41: Your Scooter's Jungle marketing representative will finalize the grand opening schedule with you. Certified trainers will be on-site at your store to assist with last-minute details.
